Inserting Building Blocks into a Word document

Inserting Building Blocks into a Word document

If you have building blocks stored in your template, inserting them into a Word document is easy.

Building blocks are pre-formatted elements that are found in the Quick Part gallery of a template. You can save just about anything as a building block – tables, charts, text, images, etc. We have created them for landscape pages, cover pages, logos and icons, and more. Inserting building blocks into a Word document is easy. Here’s how:

  • Place your cursor on the page where you want the building block to appear.

You can move and/or edit a building block after insertion. For example, you can insert more rows or columns into a table or change the text in a breakout box or disclaimer. This will not change the original building block in the Quick Part gallery.
