Gabel Associates, an energy, environmental, and public utility consulting firm, approached us with a familiar challenge: their existing Microsoft Word and PowerPoint templates were falling short. Staff reported inconsistencies in font rendering, shifting page margins, and limited functionality across different devices. To make matters more frustrating, the templates weren’t easily accessible via their internal network or the File > New menu in Microsoft Office.
Gabel needed more than just a design refresh—they needed reliable, user-friendly templates that worked seamlessly across all devices and users.
We delivered a cohesive suite of templates featuring a refined layout, a complementary colour palette, and fonts carefully selected for cross-platform compatibility. While preserving Gabel’s logo and signature brand colour, we modernised the overall design to ensure every document looked professional and consistent.
The final deliverables included:
Microsoft Word templates: memo, letterhead, reports, proposals, and resume
PowerPoint templates: widescreen and standard-letter presentations
An Excel template designed for consistent graph and chart presentation
A customised Normal.dotx template to ensure even ad hoc documents followed brand guidelines
To replace problematic macros from the previous versions, we used content controls wherever possible, improving stability and usability.
The result? A professional, accessible, and visually consistent set of tools that empower Gabel’s team to focus on content—without worrying about formatting issues.
