CLIENT: the mitchell institute
The Mitchell Institute asked us to create new Word report and newsletter templates. They needed three templates for their marketing team: two report templates, and one fact sheet/newsletter template.
The report specifications were for a one-column, and a two-column layout. Both reports would have a cover page section with an editable background image, and two Quick Part logo options. The newsletter needed a less formal layout.
We based the designs on the organisation’s brand guidelines. Additionally, the client wanted text formatting options restricted to a set of document styles. This meant that users could not alter pre-determined typefaces, font sizes, colours or spacing.
We provided a self-installing MS Office theme, so staff had the correct fonts and colour palette on their PCs. Consequently, all documents based on our templates were on brand and consistent. We also supplied training notes to help staff use the templates efficiently and fill in any knowledge gaps.
