Arete Capital Partners asked us to create an A4 PowerPoint report template. We were a little surprised by their request. After all, PowerPoint is usually used for presentations. We soon discovered that there is a trend in the financial services industry towards using PowerPoint as a reporting tool rather than a traditional presentation.

It makes sense. Although PowerPoint does not have the same text capabilities as Word, it allows you to move graphic elements, i.e., charts, tables, etc., around with ease. This flexibility is great if you want to quickly put together a data-heavy report. We provided the template in portrait and landscape formats.
